Coco, learning how to love.

I'm in love. With that said, I'm still learning how to love: big difference ya'll. To celebrate my 10 year union and love for my beloved Turtle, this September, we will enter into a convalidation (from the Latin word meaning “to firm up” or “to strengthen.”) within the Church; not merely a renewal of vows made previously but a new act of consent, essential to marriage in our Catholic faith.

In the 10 years that we have been given together, we have kept our faith through the storms and grown up together instead of falling apart. In life, we cannot predict the obstacles we will face, but we can choose to love one another through these obstacles, following the example that Christ gave us when he said, 'above all things, love one another'... But how do we love one another? Where do we learn? It is written in the scriptures:
* Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated,
it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Prayer is the glue that holds a marriage and a family together. We welcome you to pray with us and for us as we prepare to unite in marriage.
A successful marriage isn’t the union of two perfect people. It’s that of two imperfect people who have learned the value of forgiveness & grace. ~Darlene Schacht
